Mary, I still miss you and your sense of humor and your sometimes caustic remarks. You were a jewel and will alway be fondly remembered!
Ellen Pollock (Weston)
I remember so well getting into trouble in class with Mary...even tho she was SO smart, she had the fun loving naughty side. we has some weird "family" and I remember she was Mary Zelda Zenor Stevens. Mr Ciarlo hated us.

I first became acquainted with Mary in 8th grade at Kit Carson. At first I recognized how smart she was and I was initially intimidated by her. But that quickly faded as I got to know her and realized what a great sense of humor she had and a dry sense of humor at that. In those days the dry wit wasn't so easily understood but Mary carried it with pride and grace. And we loved her for it! She was such fun to be around and her stories of her dog, a big goofy Weimaraner named Morgan, were so funny that she'd have me rolling on the floor. She died way too young but Heaven received a wonderful soul. Miss you Mary.
