What the value of life brings;

For life is a sum of total goals,

Of countless splendid things.

The finite quality of life

Upon the shore of time

Is resolved with bitter tenderness;

For shortness is its crime.

To turn the situation of

Existence into grief

Is reaction to the age old law

That life is all too brief.

Let no man now upon this earth

Waste one second here;

For this is the chance aware to man

That's been ten thousand years.

The thing that holds the fabric of

A human life's endeavor

Is a thing admired, a goal transpired,

To be remembered ever.
