It is sad to hear of John's passing but it brings back memories of all the good times we had with the Sac Hi Dance Band and the Music Prorgam.  I just looked at our Dance Band Album from 1962 and the Sax Section was John Hathaway and Bill Bunderson on Tenor Sax, Tim Lawrence on Bari Sax, and Tami Hansen and myself on Alto Sax.  Now that was a Sax section! We certainly had some great times together playing at all those dances.  And if I remember correctly, John smoetimes played bass drum in the Marching Band.

John was a great musician and always a genleman. My prayers go out to his family.  I hope that you find comfort and peace in your memories.

John waqs a great musician and a good friend. I have very fond memories of our time together in the dance band. The sax section worked very well together and John was an integral part of that. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Bill
